We have really enjoyed Easter thus far this year. We have talked about the meaning of Easter in our last few family home evenings, so it seems like the girls really understand the meaning of it. We have also had fun with the traditional easter activities. Friday was a perfect day. It was one of those days where the essence of childhood and motherhood came together. There is something to be said about holiday traditions and slowing down your life enough to truly enjoy it with your children. We went to our ward Easter egg hunt where we found our eggs and sat on the grass inspecting the goodies and reveling in all the different jelly bean flavors and the occasional chocolate treat. Even though it was cool and even a bit misty it did not take away from the fun. Later we enjoyed a calm afternoon with reading lessons and snuggling. Daddy came home early from work, which is dreamy in and of itself. We ate dinner together ( this does not happen nearly enough) and Glenn did the dishes while and girls and I prepared for egg dying. It was so nice to have a little family activity and both girls got way into it. We did have a few egg casualties, but that is all part of the fun, right. Here are a few pictures of our fun activities.
